TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT FOR THE EGYPT RETREAT 2025

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking your place on the Egypt Retreat. By booking your place, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

RULES & GUIDELINES

Introduction

Welcome to our transformative retreat! To ensure a harmonious and enriching experience for all, we've established some guidelines.

Participation

Attendance: Full participation in scheduled activities is encouraged for a complete experience.

Punctuality: Respect the schedule by being on time for sessions and activities.

Behavior

Respect: Show respect and kindness to fellow participants and staff.

Mindfulness: Maintain an attitude of openness and mindfulness throughout the retreat.

Quiet Hours: Observe designated quiet hours to facilitate a peaceful environment.

Retreat Etiquette

Mobile Devices: Limit the use of mobile devices to designated times and areas.

Photography: Respect privacy; ask for consent before taking and sharing photos.

Dress Code: Adhere to the dress code appropriate for the retreat setting and activities.

Health and Safety

Wellness: Inform the facilitators of any health issues or dietary restrictions.

Safety Protocols: Follow all safety instructions, especially during outdoor activities.

Environmental Responsibility

Sustainability: Be mindful of your environmental impact; use resources responsibly.

Local Culture: Respect local customs and traditions.

Compliance

Agreement: Your participation indicates agreement with these guidelines.

Non-Compliance: Non-compliance may result in exclusion from activities or the retreat.

DEPOSIT POLICY

Deposit Requirement: Upon acceptance to the retreat, participants are required to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure their spot.

Amount: The deposit amount is $2000 USD, which is a portion of the total retreat cost.

Payment Deadline: The deposit must be paid upon reception of the link to confirm participation.

Purpose: The deposit covers initial costs associated with retreat planning and reservations.

Non-Refundable Policy: The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to personal reasons, health issues, or travel disruptions.

Cancellation by Participant: If a participant cancels their attendance after paying the deposit, the deposit will not be refunded.

Cancellation or Changes by Organizer: In the rare event of cancellation or significant changes to the retreat by the organizer, participants will be notified and given options regarding their deposit.

Acknowledgment: By paying the deposit, participants acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.

Participants must approve these terms and conditions by ticking the box at checkout when paying their first installment to be fully accepted into the retreat.

*TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT

Payment Deadlines and Options

First payment must be made upon acceptance to the retreat.

Final Payment Deadline: All payments must be completed 60 days before the retreat start date, which is September 2nd, 2025 for the retreat scheduled from October 31st (arrival in Cairo) to November 11th (departure from Cairo).

Option 1: Pay in Full

Option 2: Pay in Installments

Available up to June 2025 - check options at checkout as the payment plan will differ depending on how many months there are before the final payment is due

Payments are divided into equal installments across an agreed timescale.

Deposit: The initial payment will include the $2,000 non refundable deposit element

Missed Payments: Any missed payments will be subject to additional administrative charges so if you know that your payment will not succeed it is your responsibility to let us know before the date it is due to be taken and arrange another form of payment.

Final Installment Deadline: The last installment must be paid by September 2nd, 2025.

Option 3: Initial Deposit

If you opt to only pay the initial non-refundable $2,000 deposit on booking you must discuss your payment plan with the team within 14 days of booking and come to an agreement about when the future payment of the $TBD balance will be made.

Refund Policy

More than 90 days before the retreat (Before August 2nd, 2025): Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit and a 3.8% processing fee.

60-90 days before the retreat (Between August 3rd and September 1st, 2025)**: 50% refund minus the non-refundable deposit and a $250 administrative fee.

Less than 60 days before the retreat (After September 2nd, 2025): No refund.

Retreat Inclusions

Accommodation: Hotels from October 31st to November 10th.

Transportation: To all temples, including a guide, driver, and water in the van.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on full days. Breakfast only on November 10th.

Activities: Air balloon trip and other scheduled activities.

Optional Add-on: Red Sea excursion (details and additional cost to be provided).

By choosing a payment option and participating in the retreat, attendees agree to these terms and conditions.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Changes to Retreat Schedule

We reserve the right to modify or cancel any aspect of the retreat schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control.

Travel Documents

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary travel documents such as passports, visas, and health certificates required for entry into Egypt.

Health and Safety

Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the retreat. We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure.

Liability

We accept no liability for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or irregularity arising from circumstances beyond our control.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards fellow participants and staff members at all times during the retreat.

Photography Release

By participating in this retreat, you grant us permission to use any photographs or videos taken during the retreat for promotional purposes without compensation.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Egyptian law.

Local Culture

Respect for Traditions: Egyptian culture is rich and diverse with deep-rooted traditions. Respect local customs and traditions.

Social Etiquette: Politeness and hospitality are highly valued. Be courteous in interactions.

Religious Sensitivity: Predominantly Islamic; respect religious practices and holy sites.

Climate

General Climate: Predominantly desert; hot and sunny.

Best Attire: Light and breathable clothing. Sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen) is essential.

Seasonal Variations: Cooler evenings in winter; scorching midday sun in summer.

Attire

Modesty: Dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites. Shoulders and knees should be covered.

Comfort: Comfortable walking shoes for excursions.

Cultural Consideration: Avoid excessively revealing clothing out of respect for local norms.

Etiquette

Photography: Always ask for permission before photographing people or private property.

Tipping (Baksheesh): Common practice for services.

Dining Etiquette: Use your right hand for eating; left is considered unclean.
